Visiting Professors

Karen Mustin

Karen is an interdisciplinary conservation scientist and currently a Marie Curie Research Fellow in the Conservation Conflicts Research Group at the University of Aberdeen, UK. Her research focuses on the links between governance, social equity and biodiversity outcomes in protected areas in Brazil. After spending two years living and working in Amapá, and just six months away, Karen is now back visiting LabEco and PPGBio as a Visiting Professor. Karen has on-going collaborations with the group, including research in to the conservation of the "Cerrado of Amapá" and co-supervision of PhD student Bayron Calle-Rendón.
