Master Students
Aldine Luiza Pereira Baia
I’m a Forestry Engineer from the State University of Amapá (UEAP) and a master’s student in Tropical Biodiversity at the Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP). I worked with remote sensing, as a cartographer at the Istitut de Recherche pour le Développement – IRD/FRANCE/BRAZIL, for stratification of forest typologies through remote sensors. However, my expertise area is ecology, biodiversity and forest conservation. Currently, I am developing a project investigating intra- and interspecific variability of functional attributes in two Amazonian forests: Terra-Firme Forest (Amapá National Forest - FLONA-AP) and Estuarine Várzea Forest. I am also assessing the importance of tree heights for biomass estimates in both forests.

I am a biologist from the University of San Antonio Abad del Cusco (Peru). I have worked with the measurement of the functional traits of the trees in an altitudinal gradient of 3000 m in the Amazonian forests in Peru. I am currently master’s student in the Postgraduate Program in Tropical Biodiversity of the Federal University of Amapá, and I am evaluating the specificity of epiphytes to the characteristics of the forophytes in the Amapá National Forest.

I am a biologist from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, interested in working with primatology, animal-plant interactions and conservation of species, mainly dealing with Amazonian primate species. Currently I am a mater’s student at the Federal University of Amapá and my research project focuses on the study of frugivory.

I am a biologist from the University of San Antonio Abad del Cusco. I am interested in the functioning and interactions of the forest canopy and its importance to the forest. I have a fascination with and love for neotropical forests. Currently I am a master's student in the Postgraduate Program in Tropical Biodiversity.

I'm a biologist from the National University of the Peruvian Amazon and I am interested in the conservation of the Amazon using an approach that combines biodiversity conservation and community-based conservation. I have experience with feeding ecology studies and monitoring of large and medium-sized mammals.
