Our research is mainly focused on understanding patterns of species distribution, ecological interactions, processes, and quantification of ecosystem services to provide the basic knowledge to predict the magnitude of human impacts and propose solutions for the management and sustainable use of natural resources in the Amazonian region. LabEco is headed at the Federal University of Amapá and our studies are undertaken on the ecosystems found in the state of Amapá (Brazil) and in other regions of Amazonia.
